Our Passion & Strengths
We’ve learned that there are certain qualities that create an outstanding accounting professional:
- Detail oriented – YES it IS important to balance your bank account to the penny
- Love of numbers – math comes easy; in some cases we will say that the numbers paint a picture for the business
- Task and process focused – next to a good calculator, checklists keep us focused
- Primary strengths in execution (aka that get’r done spirit) – it just happens
Simply adding a title of bookkeeper or accountant does not ensure these qualities. We use DISC assessment and the Gallup Strengths Finder test to get an extra level of insight into our team members. We seek out qualities that ensure our team is passionate about what they do.
Our team values
- Security – our number one concern is the security of your financial data
- Trust – is the key value to any good relationship; essential when working with your financial team, without it the numbers don’t make sense
- Integrity – clear communication and follow through in all relationships, at all times
- Responsibility – integrity leads to responsibility, when we agree to provide the service we step up and take responsibility to deliver the service
- Leadership – open to the possibilities and changes that will come up; strong enough to choose a path or mission and boldly go there
Meet the Team
The definition of a team is a group of people with a full set of complementary skills required to complete a task, job, or project.
Team members (1) operate with a high degree of interdependence, (2) share authority and responsibility for self-management, (3) are accountable for the collective performance, and (4) work toward a common goal and shared rewards(s). A team becomes more than just a collection of people when a strong sense of mutual commitment creates synergy, thus generating performance greater than the sum of the performance of its individual members.
